We tried the viral no-bake cookie dough bark using Belly's Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix and our takeaway: it's worth the hype! Just 5 minutes of prep & 10 minutes in the freezer stand between you and your new favorite summer dessert.
Viral No-Bake Cookie Dough Bark
What you'll need:
- 1 package Belly Collagen Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix
- 6 TBSP Oil (I used avocado)
- 3 TBSP Pure Maple Syrup
For the Chocolate Shell:
- 3/4 C Chocolate Chips
- 1 TBSP Oil
- Flakey Sea Salt (Optional)
Instructions:
- Begin by making the cookie dough. Combine oil and maple syrup in a medium mixing bowl. Add 1 package of Belly Collagen Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix and stir until dough begins to form.
- Line a 9x9 baking dish with parchment paper.
- Transfer the dough to the baking dish and begin to press the dough evenly throughout the dish.
- To make the chocolate shell, combine 3/4 C chocolate chips with 1 TBSP oil in a microwave safe bowl. Stir to coat the chocolate chips with the oil.
- Begin by microwaving the mixture for 30 seconds. Stir & continue to microwave in 15 second increments until the chocolate is completely melted.
- Pour the melted chocolate over the cookie dough. Spread evenly throughout the pan until all of the cookie dough is covered.
- Sprinkle with a dash of flakey sea salt (optional)
- Place the pan in the freezer for at least 10 minutes or up to a few hours.
- Remove from freezer and break the cookie dough bark apart in pieces.
- Enjoy immediately and store leftovers in the freezer!
Additional Notes:
- Make it Nutty: Replace a few TBPS of oil with your favorite nut or seed butter for a Reese's like twist on this viral treat.
- No Pan? No Problem! Instead of using a 9x9 baking dish, you can also put parchment paper on a cookie sheet. Just note, the cookie dough won't fill the full sheet! Unless you want to make a double batch :)
